VISA WAIVER PROGRAM FOR VISITORS
The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) permits nationals from specified countries to enter the United States for up to ninety (90) days for business or tourism without having a visa. The nationals must meet the requirements of the visa waiver program to be admitted without a visa.
The VWP requires that nationals attempting to enter have a machine-readable passport that is valid for at least six months past the last day of their intended stay in the United States. Depending upon the type of passport a national possesses other passport requirements may apply. These additional requirements may be found on the Department of State’s website. In addition, there is a small fee which nationals will have to pay at the port of entry they enter through.
The VWP does not permit for change of status applications or extensions of stay. The following countries are participants in the VWP.
